Explore Study Abroad
St. Mary’s University offers many opportunities to study away! Programs take place in a variety of locations in the United States and globally, and they range from just a few weeks to a full academic year, depending on the program. There are two main types of programs available to choose from: Faculty-led Programs and Exchange Programs.
Faculty-led Programs: each year, various faculty members at St. Mary’s lead their own program abroad, teaching a course while overseas. These programs are tailored to specific course content, are generally for 3-6 credits, and contain site visits that correlate with the content of the course.
Exchange Programs: St. Mary’s partners with a variety of programs and universities to offer our students the opportunity to study away for the summer, a semester, or a full academic year. Exchange programs are offered in a variety of international locations abroad. Additionally, for students who would like the experience of studying away but would prefer to remain in the U.S., there is the option to complete an exchange with one of our sister universities in Dayton, Ohio or Honolulu, Hawaii.
